Re: post up your holiday shopping/wish lists - grownup edition

I have all the possessions I need.

I really do need a savings account, though.

Re: Do you wear an ID badge?

My building has incredibly high security, I have to badge in through every door. If you forget your badge at your desk on a smoke break, you have to call security to walk you to your cubicle.

Re: Pre-Coffee Problems

I skip breakfast and down three cups of unsweetened, hot, black tea instead. I work early, but I'm pretty good about being awake and non-grumpy before my tea. I just can't handle loud voices before I'm fully awake.

Re: california bans microbeads

I've been hearing about this for years. Critters eat them thinking that they are fish eggs.

I never used products with microbeads because they don't seem to exfoliate. I like Konjac style facial sponges.

Re: hospital vs homebirth

my BMI is too high for my local birthing center. that is ridonkulously stupid. Yep! Anyone with a BMI 30+, that would be a woman average in height who weighs 175 pounds. Given that at least a third of women in Texas have a BMI 30+, it really sucks. Lower-class women are more likely to be affected b...

Re: hospital vs homebirth

Human birth is risky. My great-grandmothers only gave birth at home because that was the only option. I like the idea of a birthing center near a hospital. Many hospitals also provide both safety and comfort. Sadly, not all hospitals are equal and women on government assistance are often pressured i...

Re: Why do we have periods?

Suffering through monthly periods is a disadvantage and women need healthcare to balance things out a bit. I've been uninsured most of my life and being handicapped by severe pain and heavy bleeding (med-light is manageable) for those first couple of days has caused me to miss work, take excess rest...

How to be a man:

1. Inherit a Y chromosome from your father
2. Have someone note this on your birth certificate.
3. Survive puberty

Behavior is irrelevant.

There are too many things that are wrong with this article and original post, none of my drafts can cover every point I want to make.

Expect to see an incredibly long essay about cats and domesticated animals in the future. ;)

Re: are you on medication?

My anti-depressant changed my life. I don't mind paying out-of-pocket to see my doctor, because my quality of life and my dedication to my job have increased. Plus, I don't have panic attacks anymore! Really embarassing. I wish I had insurance so that I could see a therapist. Oh, well, drugs are che...

Re: are you kind to your liver?

I don't really drink. I may have up to two beers with a friend once a month or so. As much as I enjoy a nice dark beer (I just crave the flavor), I feel really sick when I drink. Sensitive digestive system combined with dehydration leads to instant head and body aches. Plus, drinking makes me want t...

You're misinterpreting the article. It's not that simple. It's frustrating that it's socially acceptable for people to hate on my precious pets. So much ignorance surrounding these excellent companion animals.

We took this at work a few weeks ago, I got INFP. I think I get something like that much of the time. Always an I. Introvert, but I'm too lazy to think things out. I rely on feeling but have poor social skills. The worst personality type.

With rice I often leave it to boil, the directions say 20 minutes, but it's often done in less. Perhaps it's because I use less water. My results are mixed. How do I make awesome rice? Have you ever tried baking rice in the oven? It comes out perfectly every time! http://culinaryarts.about.com/od/r...

Switch to Mac! They last for years and are loaded with the iWork suite, which is comparable to Office and very user-friendly.

On my PC, I use Open Office. I would never pay for Microsoft Office, it should be included.

The Windows 10 commercial with the babies that's been overplayed. First problem: Windows 10. Ew. Second problem: Two out of three of the babies featured in that commercial are strange-looking. Huge, drooly mouths. What does a baby have to do with software?

Hummus and non-lettuce such as broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. I also enjoy hard boiled eggs. And the option for fancy vinegar instead od fatty dressing.

Jason's Deli has a salad bar that goes way beyond. Mini ginger muffins, chocolate mousse, all sorts of goodies.

I actually read an article about this feud and it turns out that Nicki wrote a tweet that she says was not directed at Taylor, and Taylor totally didn't have to respond but she did. Maybe it's because she grew up in the entertainment industry and takes everything very seriously. It seems to be a pat...

My Tamagotchi shat itself and died. So I deleted the app.

In fourth grade, I had a Nano Pet and it was taken up by my teacher.

I have real pets now, so I'm good.

Adding a fourth line of text.

On an unrelated note: Petz4, anyone?
