Re: New Here, Hi There

Welcome! It's been a while since we got someone coming to the forums from that super awesome due date statistic page. I hope you have a timely eviction of your uterus. When you says that your favorite food is all things spicy do you mean flavored with hot peppers or heavily flavored? If I gave you g...

Re: Unsolicited relationship advice

Giving "favors" could very well cause arousal though, and that extra blood flow and genital swelling would compound lingering post delivery pains. It's also so easy to get touched out with a baby/young kid around. Especially when merely months have passed and the baby is completely depende...

Re: What career should you have?

I had a difficult time deciding on answers for the quiz. The first time, I got electrical engineer, and a bunch of stuff I'm certain I would hate/have no interest in/be terrible at such as advising other people. I took it again and got botonist. As it is, I have an interview on Monday or Tuesday (wh...

Re: Summer Solstice

I must have lost my vegan membership, no idea solstice was a thing for us weirdos. Around here, everyone disappears into the countryside for midsummer. Most businesses are closed and the cities are eerily empty. So you still might not get that reservation. I have no idea if restaurants are places th...

Re: What does your ideal bedroom look like?

I think my ideal bedroom changes depending on the season. Right now, coming up on midsummer, I crave darkness. I want dark walls, shades, and curtains. In the winter I need something that gets me out of bed. The only constant is a low bed, sparse furniture, and a couple self calming objects. I suppo...

Re: what do you dislike about children?

They're perfect for philosophical experimentation, but can't be used that way for ethical reasons. They have to be taught things like empathy and compassion. So they hit and kick and bite and scream and say mean things, and I'm expected to act like an adult because I am one. When interacting with th...

Re: Workplace seating arrangements - WWYD?

I saw the question and immediately looked at the diagram and thought 2, before I even saw the F and M notations. Then I definitely thought 2, wanting to submerse the new hire in the midst of coworkers instead of on the end of the bench to be overlooked, not letting the other co-workers view her as p...

Re: Quicktakes

I just got back from using a bunch of the tips in the what we do at boring parties thread. I stuck it out through conversations, played with pets, appreciated nature, tried to be helpful, consumed alcohol, consumed food, played with kids, listened, and still went off by myself and cried.

Congratulations for when you're excited about the pregnancy, and good luck for all the time. I was depressed while pregnant and congratulations always rubbed me the wrong way. It's really cool that your daughter's excited, maybe it will turn out to be contagious excitement.

Sessions, Attorney General v. Morales-Santan

I was excited to see this article about the results of Sessions, Attorney General v.Morale-Santan , which was about gender discrimination when it came to granting children citizenship when born abroad. The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down a federal law based on what the justices called "stunn...

how do you travel?

How do you travel with your kids? We recently went on a trip mostly traveling by car and the kid (three years old) was awesome. We're currently planning a trans-Atlantic trip. The last time we made that trip, two years ago, it was miserable, presumably for everyone on the plane. I'm hoping, that aft...

My desire goes between "no need to look like a gallery" and "need to look like a gallery". In actuality, most of our walls can't take nails.

^My uncle used to have Ameraucanas (chickens that lay colored eggs)! I don't really think of them as blue food though, since I don't know anyone who eats the blue part.

And Sonic, come to Finland in the later summer/early fall. I'll take you to a bilberry patch and you will be happy.

Re: Blue Foods?

Bilberries, bogberries, dewberries, and crowberries can have instances of blue, generally colored similarly to blueberries. There's also juniper berries, but it's a spice or used in tea, and the color when you eat them isn't so noticeable. There are bellflowers, but again the color range can go towa...

Welcome to the Spacefem forums, YorkshireBear. I'm imagining a very tiny bear indeed, the kind that will curl up next to your leg and pant happily, if bears even pant. A close friend of mine has been erecting stage tents for the past few years (not his title position, but that doesn't matter). I tak...
