Re: Sexual harassment in the workplace, re: commentary on Fox News's recent turnover

Tbh, unless victims come forward all at once, I don't see how such leadership (who doesn't see harassment as a problem) will change. And unfortunately, it requires people to experience that first before change in such a culture can be made to prevent other victims. I really don't see an established ...

Re: "Thor: Ragnarok" and "The Last Jedi Trailers"

I didn't like the Led Zeppelin score. They're just replicating what they did with Guardians of the Galaxy by using the old school music. Zeppelin is supposed to be counter-culture. The very industries that used to hate them are now casually using them in movie trailers? Screw that. Led Zeppelin has...

"Thor: Ragnarok" and "The Last Jedi Trailers"

Thor Ragnarok Loved they got Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song to accompany the trailer. My favorite scene was Hela (Cate Blanchett) catching the hammer and just smirking. Goddamn if Cate Blanchett isn't just eating up the role and oozing pr...

Re: What do you like on your hot dog?

Wanna hear something weird??? Where I come from, potato sticks are a pretty common - nay - esteemed street vendor hot dog topping. With cheese and softened onions... Seriously. I used to crumble chips onto mine. I generally put mustard, cheese, and sweet relish on mine. If I'm feeling particulary g...

Re: A critique of Feminism worth reading

Unfortunately, Feminism as an ideology has become synonymous with radical thinking, in which misandry is considered the norm Where? Feminism is not radical, it is simply an attempt to give us the rights that men have had for centuries, and I don't even believe that mainstream people think it is rad...

Yes. Though I've started taking Body Flow instead, which combines yoga, tai chi, and pilates. Really helps after my Body Pump class (yes, I'm crazy enough to tsrke two gym classes back to back).

Re: what's the last movie you saw?

Beauty & The Beast (2017) - The acting and singing are serviceable, but that's about it. The movie is an almost beat for beat remake of the original. Very few changes are made, and out of the ones that are, most of them aren't explored enough or they don't make sense. Also, the original did a mu...

Anyone with an ounce of wit wouldn't take the ending literally and understand it's more like mocking appropriation of black culture by white people. :3houses:.5 It's still pretty good, just doesnt feel like ...

People watching because most parties that are boring are the ones where everyone but me know each other. They've usually already formed cliques and I'm left feeling blocked out from any form of conversation.

^how horror-y is it? I don't really like horror movies, but am intrigued by this description? It's more psychological suspense than straight horror, making you wonder wtf is up with this town. Trollhunters It's a cartoon series on Netflix that is from Guillermo Del Toro. This is a world in which trolls do exist but only a certain group are bad. How comfortable do you feel asking about someone's race?

When someone asks me about my race, they do it in an indirect manner that takes three tries to answer the question they're really asking. It usually goes something like this: Them: Where are you from? Me: Lived in Georgia a bit when I was a kid but been in this area most of my life. Them: No, I mean...

The Lego Batman Movie - I must be weird because I think The Lego Movie was a better movie but I liked this one more.
