Post-birthday relevations (the bitchy sequel)

Postby Aum » Wed Jan 18, 1:42 2012

Not wanting to amend my birthday thread which seemed so perfect.

I woke up today to this daily romantic horoscope in my inbox: "Even though you like confiding in your pals, now might not be the time to spill the beans about your last date."

I disobeyed, and discovered that my date is also trying to date my friend of five years. We are both not amused, and my friend feels really bad for me. My friend, out of nowhere, said he's dating a new guy named [same name as my guy] and within a moment we confirmed it was the same guy. What a small, pathetic world we live in.

Well, the fantasy was nice. Too bad I actually believed it. Back to being single and cynical. Xinzang is just not allowed to get any real lovin'.

Well shit. That sucks. I'm sorry he wasn't what you thought he was.

Oh noooo. I was just talking to my partner about how I figured the queer dating pool must be bigger in Vancouver because there's no language divide like there is here. Apparently it's still not big enough.

But probably better that you disobeyed your horoscope and found out sooner rather than later, at least?

Yeah, sounds like your horoscope is out to get you.

This totally sucks. It won't be long before it's part of your repertoire of amusing anecdotes, take solace in that.

I'm so sorry to hear that, it never feels good. Hang in there for a guy much much more deserving of your time.
