Counter-protest met with hostility

Postby drunken dragon » Thu Mar 15, 16:30 2012

Today, after our third day of our 40 Days For Life counter-protest, I was inspired to post this Yelp review:

During a peaceful pro-life rally at San Angelo's Planned Parenthood (located behind Pickett), one of our members parked in an unmarked space near Pickett's building. An employee of Pickett approached our member's car and placed something on the back windshield, remarking only that our member could not park there. When our member looked at her vehicle, a sticker reading "I MADE MY CHOICE PRO-LIFE" had been placed on the back windshield. The correct course of action would have been to ask our member to move her vehicle elsewhere, but this was not done.
After speaking with the police about this blatant act of vandalism, the employee came and removed the sticker. When I and two other members of the rally came and took pictures of Pickett's storefront, a petite blonde female employee flipped us off. I do not know either employee's status in the business.
I have never before witnessed such hostile and unprofessional behavior. Regardless of your views regarding politics, religion, or what have you, this should not be
tolerated. The employees of Pickett Print Works are rude, offensive, and do not possess even the most basic knowledge of common courtesy or respect. Never use this business.
It will do you no harm to find yourself ridiculous.
Resign yourself to be the fool you are.

Yeah, that's pretty unprofessional. Not at all surprised though.

That's bullshit I hope they go out of business for being bigoted unprofessional morons who had no business disturbing a peaceful protest.

I love that one of my friends was like "you're all being really immature about this, especially by calling the cops." No, what's immature is STICKING DECALS ON A CAR, FUCKER. Fuck.

If I'd had any way to track down whoever slapped a big W sticker on my car after Bush won the 2004 elections, I totally would have called the police. That enraged me so much, because it was so difficult to get off; I had to wait until I could buy some goo that helped me remove it.

So yes, you were totally justified, and they acted unprofessionally.

well that's not too bad at least they weren't violent or yelled crazy slurs at you. I'm not too big any one interrupting or harassing any one when peacefully protesting it was pretty damn unprofessional I would think their supervisors would have told them to ignore you or not even talk to you. I would say you were justified because you didn't really do any thing to them.
