Hey everyone my names Sam I’m a uni student from Sydney Australia.
I’m 24, female and found this site on my search to learn more about feminism and broaden by views.
I’m at uni finishing a BA Nursing. I work as an Enrolled nurse at a hospital paying my way until I finish my degree.
So hobbies, well I love martial arts and I’ve been practicing since I was 10 in a few different styles. I’m a big live music fan and I try and go to as many gigs as I can fit in.
On high rotation of music for me right now is Ani Difranco, Alix Olsen, Missy Higgins and Butterfly Boucher.
I was introduced to Alix Olsens work by a friend and found her work really powerful. I have listened to Ani Difranco for a while but never very closely and now in the last few months thanks to these artists and some major events in my life I’ve gone through a huge surge in forming ideas and connections between the word feminism and my existing ideas and attitudes.
I can’t say I have a favourite blog but I listen to podcasts a lot and my favourite is The Lesbian Mafia. I think Sandy is pretty close to the top of the list of people I want to meet before I die.
I am wearing navy blue work pants right now as I’m at work on night shift and it’s nice and quiet.
I found spacefem on a Google search and yes the FAQ was helpful.
