For 100 years, Girl Scouts has prided itself on being an inclusive organization serving girls from all walks of life. We handle cases involving transgender children on a case-by-case basis, with a focus on ensuring the welfare and best interests of the child in question and the other girls in the troop as our highest priority
Last year, three Girl Scout troops in Louisiana disbanded after Bobby was admitted into the Colorado troop.
It was a publicity front to let her in although now they are handling it horridly. I was happy when I heard the first case was let in after the troupe leader denied the poor girl, but now what are you doing for these transgender girls? It's so infuriating that not just the organization has been faulty with handling it but girls themselves have started a campaign to bully and keep out this individual. See the video with the article for more about this Taylor character calling the boycott.
Another source with a good standpoint:
On the girl scout website is this:
Once a Girl Scout, forever a Girl Scout.
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to respect myself and others,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
Really? Are the Colorado girl scout troupes truly being a sister to every girl?
