Authors: Aphra Behn. Anne Rice. Eliza Haywood. Terry Pratchett. Rainier Maria Rilke. Douglas Adams. Cormac McCarthy. Jim Butcher. Barry Lopez. Sena Jeter Naslund. Jostein Gaarder. Lois Lowry. Kurt Vonnegut. Garth Nix. Sherillyn Kenyon. William Shakespeare. Lynsay Sands. J.K. Rowling.

Genres: 18th century british literature, literature from the "long 18th century", epistolary fiction, paranormal fiction, hyper-realism, fantasy, and pretty much anything with a good story.

I sincerly just love to read. All of the authors listed above were from looking over my "important" bookcase which mainly has books I re-read because I love them so much and/or they mean a lot to me, I'm sure there are a million I left off. English majors can never choose!

I love books. I also love reading. (If you are a book nerd, you should know why I would separate the two)

bell hooks - Anything and Everything.

Like Water for Chocolate - Laura Esquivel
It Doesn't Matter How Much You Promise to Cook or Pay the Rent... - Edgardo Vega Yunque
Their Eyes Were Watching God - Zora Neale Hurston
Colors Insulting to Nature - Cintra Wilson
Frangipani - Celestine Vaite
Anything by Sherman Alexie
Anything by Tom Robbins

Some Non-fiction Authors I dig reading as well are: Paulo Freire, Vine Deloria Jr., Eve Ensler, Noam Chomsky, and Joel Salatin

...of course I have a feeling I am forgetting a lot, but those are the first that come to mind.

I just found this post because I am new. But among many authors I truly like, I would have to say I very much love almost anything by Ray Bradbury, esp. The Martian Chronicles, and The Giver by Lois Lowry.
Thanks. :) LNF
