I was thinking about this earlier today. Really, a lot of it has been sorting through my conceptions, preconceptions, and so on to find out what I would believe without evidence or reservation.

I'm deist. I believe there's an overall higher power. I readily acknowledge that I cannot prove it, and that may not be so, but I believe it even then. Other than that, I refuse to make any firm claims on its nature.

Lately, I've been rather inclined towards a form of eudaimonistic Christianity, but I haven't thought that through yet.

cool... i think a lot about deism :) although most of what i know about it from books on the history of science (in other words, i don't know much about how deism has carried forward into the modern day or what it looks like now).

United Methodist, but critical of the church's current doctrinal view of Homosexuality.

I'm a Deist. I'm bad at explaining it, so I'll just leave this here: http://www.religioustolerance.org/deism.htm

Being a Deist doesn't affect my daily life much, if at all. It is really just a philosophy - not like how they say Buddhism is a philosophy, but like how Atheism is philosophy. I don't feel a need for a religious presence in my life. I don't really understand why anyone does, but I try to be tolerant of religious people anyway, because I understand that it's a very personal and emotional thing.

I am against anything superstitious, like miracles, astrology, etc.

I'm Roman Catholic, and going to be confirmed in a year and a half! I'm excited!

I also like Darwin. Why can't both be true? From what I know from CCD, the Bible can be allegorical at times - so does it literally have to be 7 days? Can it be 7 God-days? Besides, what does quoting the Bible do? It would be like quoting a text book- if you can read, you can say, but do you understand? But this is just my take.

I was raised Mormon, but am now an atheist. My parents are quite displeased about it, but out of four children, only one of us stayed in the church.
