What's your Myers-Briggs type?

Postby Redallia » Fri Feb 6, 12:41 2009

I'm a INxP. Last time I took the test, it put me like one point into the J side, but for the longest time, I was pretty soundly in the T. Does that count for anything? I mean, everything except for the extroversion.

I'm an ENFP, but it's not far off ENTP... so that makes me an ENxP (and likely to be diagnosed with psychosis? :P), then?

Introverted (I) 56.41% Extroverted (E) 43.59%
Intuitive (N) 51.43% Sensing (S) 48.57%
Feeling (F) 57.58% Thinking (T) 42.42%
Judging (J) 62.86% Perceiving (P) 37.14%

So... INFJ, but pretty balanced.

The mini-description thing seems accurate, it says I'm 'concise in speech' which I've found to my cost when asked to give a five minute presentation on the pros and cons of federalism. Damned personality.

ISTP here. Project-wise I have lots of ideas and no implementations. I've tons of things I want to do but very little things I've actually done. I find it way too hard to actually drum up the motivation to do anything outside of work when by myself.

Some abortive projects of mine are: MAME cabinet, developing yet another tile-based RPG engine (this time in Ruby), properly planning out a roleplay campaign in my Dockyards setting, making an electronic drum kit from scratch, inventing a new kind of electronic instrument (I have some basic notes based around lasers, vocoders and capacitance touchpad sensors but no actual plans), making a Stargate DHD-style device that is a fully working PC compatible keyboard and making a hardware mp3 player built from scratch (just from electronics, not actually from absolute scratch, I'm not really capable of designing a mp3 decoding DSP core from scratch).

I AM however very slowly developing an entire computing architecture from NAND logic upwards, it's an arse though because there doesn't seem to be any decent HDL simulators for linux that are also free so we are mostly just doing basic planning at the moment.

although I find the "test" laughable

I admittedly drive people insane because I appear logical, but use a shitload of intuition to arrive a concolusions. What's worse is that I have a bad habit of being correct, if not close to correct, and I can't always explain why I got to the correct conclusion because my thought process wasn't machine-like, but very abstract and out-there.

I love rules and structure - so long as they don't restrict me. Yeah.

Perceiving vs. Judging... I am not at all indecisive... ever... just don't ask me what I want for dinner.

I've taken the test before and was an INTJ... which is pretty accurate. I do observe the world obsessively with the primary goal of applying observations to projects, which is what drives most of this website.

it says INTJs always think they're right which is true for me, except they call it a "weakness" and trust me it's not so bad. i'm so sick of people around me who can't stand up for themselves, I seriously don't get how those types make it in the world.

I fluctuate between INFJ and INFP.

INFJ, though I normally test as an INFP. I don't know what that test was on... what does weirdness have to do with anything?

I like handcoding html, does that count? I love the crazy weird shit that people do, but I don't do much of it myself. Probably coz if I tried, it would never get finished. Just like every other little project that I take on...

The last time I checked, I was INTP. That's close enough, I guess.

I once read a description of INTPs on a seperate website and it was kind of creepy how generally close it was to describing me... o.o

Maybe I'll take it again to see how I've changed; it's actually been a couple of years since it said I was INTP.

edit: This time around I'm apparently INFP.

I think really, I am a cross between T and F. I use both logic and feeling to make decisions.

"attracted to sad things" Yep. I love things like Frankenstein, sad puppies, orphans...I'm a bit weird.

So I'm reading this page on ISFP's, right? This is so insanely accurate... it's pretty creepy. It's like when horoscopes are right but cooler since it's psychology and mostly not full of crap!

I do take criticism pretty harshly and even suspect criticism when none is presented. I've always struggled with this. I really am afraid of disapproval but there are some areas where I've learned not to care. I need to care more about my appearance than I do. I would probably be a happier person. I just tend to let it slide since I don't go out much.

Then all the descriptions of ISFPs as lovers, friends, and parents were also very very similar to me.

Crazy!

When I took it in my high school psych class last year I was an INFP, and I can guarantee I haven't changed much since then so it's probably the same.

I am a strong ENTP
Extroverted (E) 75% Introverted (I) 25%
Intuitive (N) 65.63% Sensing (S) 34.38%
Thinking (T) 62.86% Feeling (F) 37.14%
Perceiving (P) 76.47% Judging (J) 23.53%

When I took it in 9th grade, I was ISTP, then xNTP in 10th grade. ENTP suits me pretty well now, I think.

I am ENFJ but they were all only a few points to either side, except for the J which had a whopping 14% if I do remember correctly.

INFJ -- Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging

I was only surprised by the Judging part, though apparently I only have a 6-question difference between Judging and Percieving...go figure.

INTJ here.

Its currently causing me some really bad issues in my military career.

(crosses fingers, looks at watch, 8 more years just 8 more years)

Had to throw in a few INTJ quotes for you all...

"Its not that your wrong its that your stupid"

"The truth hurts... do you really want to hear it from me?"

And no I will never tell any of you that.

Well not until I get to know you. ;)~

It's been a long time since I took it, but I remember I was 50/50 with almost everything. It makes sense because I find that my thought process is really split down the middle, which can be confusing at times. For example, I never feel comfortable with life decisions unless both my logic and my intuition agree on what is happening.

I keep getting ENFP and it's pretty close, but the write-up describes someone cooler than me. I think the last time I did it I got INFJ.
