Dream Gender

Postby nightrat » Thu Aug 28, 21:45 2008

I used to think everyone's had a dream in which they were the opposite gender, but turns out a few of my friends never have. Thought I'd run a more formal inquiry on the matter.

Who here's ever dreamed they were the opposite gender?

teehee, I'm having fun.

I tend to chop and change gender depending on the view point of the dream. I put down dream I was a boy but no genitalia, except now I think of it - while that's the 'norm' I think I have had a dream where I was a boy and I was peeing or something...

I end up as a boy maybe 1/4 of the time in dreams, but never really in terms of doing anything specific to boys.

I've never been a male in dreams. Just me.

I've dreamt many times I've been a guy. Once in college I dreamt I was a male and had sex as a woman. It was a very strange experience, but not altogether disconcerting or uncomfortable.

Am I the only person who dreams in like, third person? I've never dreamt I was a dude, but I've never had a dream where I was me either. My dreams always star me, but I'm not me. I'm always just the narrator.

I don't think I've ever dreamt I was a boy. But I do tend to completely forget my dreams about ten minutes after I wake up.

on a side note, "dreamt" is a very cool word.

also, although I never pay too much attention to what gender I am in dreams, I think most of the time I'm me, unless there is a specific reason for me to be a woman (or an animal--I'm an animal in a lot of dreams).

...that last bit sounds sorta dirty. /giggles childishly/

I hardly remember my dreams, but I have had one (and a half) where I was completely female. I can only image how many I have forgotten.

I had a couple of being-female-dreams. And hell, did I seduce the guys!

Now if only that would be in any way realistic.

I've had quite a few dreams where I had a willy and knew how to use it.

I cannot say that I have experienced a dream wherein I was of the male sex. I imagine it would be appealing to see how my subconscious would portray me as a male, though. Would I look like my brother? Sightless, judgment deficient fools seem to think so.

They seem to think my brother and I are twins when there is more than a 1 ½ year age gap between us and we look nothing alike. We have complete different complexions to one another as well as eye colour, hair colour, personalities, body shapes and facial expressions. I am like the yin to his yang.

I would definitely like to have a dream where I was a male and aware of it. And I'd like to remember it in the morning.
