Oh this reminds me of this star trek anniversary game from the 90s where you had to at one point solve this puzzle where you had to realize the numbers they were showing you were not base 10. I was stuck for days until I asked my dad and he figured it out immediately. Friggin math people lol.

monk, imagine that you're counting, but each time you would go to 2, you can't, so you just go the next place value over. So it's 0, 1, 2 10, 11, 12 20 100, 101, 102 110, and so on.
