Newly discovered T-Rex species

Postby rowan » Mon Mar 14, 21:12 2016

Oh this is cool! They found a T-Rex that is in the "missing link" gap of T-Rexes. I didn't even know there was a gap or anything but I guess it's been a mystery about how they got so darn big. This is a piece of that puzzle. Also how much do I love that the T-Rex in the image has feathers. SO MUCH.

(sorry just an image I couldn't figure out how to link to BBC video)

Scientists from the University of Edinburgh, along with US and Russian colleagues, discovered the fossilised remains of the animal in Uzbekistan.

They have named it Timurlengia.

Article for those who want to read it and/or watch the video (the guy is SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC)

YES FEATHERED DINOSAURS!

I love learning about fields where seemingly established knowledge is actually a bit more complicated or unsettled.
