the best thing to happen to grapes...

So I like all kinds of alcohol... beer, margaritas, jello shots, straight whiskey. but the most interesting type, I think, is wine. what are your faves?

I pretty much prefer red wines exclusively nowadays, but I also love champagne. My favorite reds are cabernet sauvignon and one that isn't on here, malbec!

So far, my absolute favorite are these local red wines. I shall have to bring a bottle with me at spacefemcon.

On a slightly related note, there's also this amazing local strawberry mead. I might have to bring a bottle of that, too.

I'm generally a fan of most wines. I used to think zinfindel and roses were pretty boring but it turns out that real zinfindel and roses are not boring.

My favorite wine does not fit these categories, I think it's a blend of grapes, but it's a red that is dark and earthy and has chocolate notes and is... I think I"m out of it. This is a tragedy that MUST BE FIXED!

Another wine I like is a light white wine that is almost like drinking a white sangria. Oh baby I can polish off a bottle of that in an evening myself if I'm not careful. I am also out of this but that's because I only get it when I go home to my folks' house.

I really like red wine, but I don't know anything about it. Usually I'll just pick a bottle at random or by price and if I like it, swell, if not, oh well I have to kill this bottle of wine. I think I might try to figure out something about wine this summer.

i like the fruitier wines from north & south America vs. the less fruity ones out of Europe & Australia.

I third (fourth? fifth?) the 'where is pinot grigio?' sentiment (pinot gris, for some reason, I just can't get on board with). But I picked sauvignon blanc and champagne. Although technically I've never had champagne, only various forms of 'sparkling white'. Red wine should only ever be consumed in the form of sangria!

I can drink just about any wine, but I enjoy a good rose the most, followed by either zinfandel or merlot.
