Self-explanatory. I like September because it's spring here at that time, but May comes in a close second for the crispy autumn weather. We have beautiful liquidambers going all golden and rust-coloured in our yard at the moment.

I may be a minority here, but I love the dark and the cold, and a proper January should have plenty of both. I also like just about every other month almost equally well though, so it's a close call.

Thanks! It's an imitation of the first lines of the prologue to the Canterbury Tales. I changed it from spring (Whan in Aprill...) to October.

I chose September, but I really love August through January the most. The heat at the end of summer, then the leaves changing, football, the great autumn weather, excellent beer, and then finally Christmas, which is the best time of year of all, and almost made me choose December on its own, and then the beautiful snow and New Years. But I chose September.

This. Except for me this happens at the end of August, which is why I chose that month. Also it's my birth month. August is amazing, it starts of so warm and summery, then fades to golden and harvest at the end. Actually the last week of august/ first week of september is my favourite time of year, which is why we got married then

January!! For us crazy southern hemispherians it's a beautiful month of summertime, beaches and Australia day (aka drink your weight in booze whilst getting burnt to a crisp day)! I can't stand grey weather, I usually get SAD through winter.
