I came here to complain about vegetables but now I'm super horrified.

Oranges, and apples

Mounting poster onto foam board then realizing it's not align correctly, so I have to peel it off and redo the mount. Trying hard so I won't rip that $30 poster print.

Just for further context, I'm referring to the idiom, "keep your eyes peeled." It certainly sounds potentially gruesome. I guess it's weird my mind went there.

Ohhhhhhhh wow that makes a lot more sense. Yikes...

I don't really like peeling anything. My face would probably be my least favorite thing, since it kind of burns and looks super terrible until it's done.
Bork is too lazy to bother thinking up a witty signature. :polarbear:

Now I'm thinking of that Gilmore girls scene.

RORY: How many people do you think have gotten married here over the years?
LANE: I counted once off the guest book – forty-six.
RORY: Wow. What happened to that one, Min Cha? She married a real mean guy.
LANE: Wan Nam. Didn’t I tell you about them?
RORY: No.
LANE: Well, Min Cha put up with seven years of Wan Nam telling her she was stupid and ordering her to cook all his meals. Then one day, he was in the kitchen looking for his lunch and she just snapped. Took a carrot peeler and turned on him.
RORY: A carrot peeler?
LANE: You can get those things pretty sharp. Anyway, she just came at him and started peeling. The neighbors called the police. They showed up and Wan Nam was just standing there all peeled.
RORY: What happened?
LANE: He didn’t press charges, but now he makes all his own meals, sleeps in a locked separate room, and keeps the cutting board by his bed for protection. Still married, though.
RORY: Wow.
LANE: Everybody’s still married. It’s like a factory system here. They all come to the weddings, find a spouse, get married and stay that way ‘til they die.
RORY: They mate for life, like the loons.
...
LANE: So, what do you think, eye shadow?
RORY: Why not? Let’s do it. Peeled to death – that’s a bad way to go.

Was this show darker then I remember?

Tape, from my own skin.

(I like how there's a thread about surgery in the forum at the same time.)

1. The sticker that my local dump makes me stick directly on the outside of the car window because god forbid I should merely TAPE it to the window from the inside so it will be easier to peel off next year.

2. Price tags that just won't come off. Or those little gold oval "Made in China" stickers because they always leave a smudge, and then I have to go dig out the WD40 and then there's a smeary mess everywhere and on top of all that, I end up smelling like WD40.

3. Those safety/warning labels that run along the top inside jamb of replacement windows. I don't know what the hell they're made of but they just come off in tiny slivers if you try to peel them. Meanwhile, over time, they start to flake off on their own. But the minute you touch one, you end up with just another tiny speck. Then that tiny speck, which was so temptingly removing its own self from the window, sticks to your finger like it's bonded with you for all eternity. What the fuck! So frustrating. Does anyone know the labels I'm talking about? I feel very alone in my outrage here for some reason.

Hmm. I seem to have some issues with adhesives. Thing is, in general, I love peeling things. I just want it to come off CLEAN!

I used that stuff when someone vandalized my car with a George W. Bush sticker after the 2004 election. Took some time, but it's long gone by now.

Windex also works wonders if you just let it soak for a few seconds.
Where there's smoke, there's fire. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. So just shut up, and bring some water.
