They are often sticky in ways I don't understand.

They don't respond to reason. Well, at least my reasoning. I also dislike inability to self-wipe butt.

They're so LOUD! And they just take a lot of attention, and I don't really know how to talk to them.
My friend recently referred to her daughter (almost 2) as a "chaos monster" and ...yeah, that's pretty much what I don't like about kids: they're chaos. I like them only in small doses.

Yeeesh. So many things. They're so loud and shrill and they randomly decide to scream sometimes. I have absolutely no idea what to do with them or how to talk to them. They're going to turn into grown up humans and there's so much potential for things to go horrible wrong.
Bork is too lazy to bother thinking up a witty signature. :polarbear:

They're perfect for philosophical experimentation, but can't be used that way for ethical reasons. They have to be taught things like empathy and compassion. So they hit and kick and bite and scream and say mean things, and I'm expected to act like an adult because I am one. When interacting with the same child for a long time, they amplify my faults.

They will zero in on whatever is inappropriate and latch on to it. They don't remember the stuff you're trying to teach them, but they will remember the word 'thong' for years and trot it out at the most inopportune moments.
If I bang my head against a brick wall five times and get five lumps, why am I surprised when I bang it a sixth time and get a sixth lump?

HA this goes on my list of things that crack me up about children - no filters. Things like a very loud "look, ma, that lady has a big butt like yours." Or asking our married friend who we ran into while he was with someone other than his wife "Where's your Mom? That's not your Mom. Where's your Mom? WHERE'S YOUR MOOOM?" :P

They are often little assholes. They have little to no awareness of how their actions impact others when they are younger. And forget about pre-teens/teenagers. God damn talk about self involved little jerks.

Also the fucking shrieking. I went to the library yesterday and there was a 2 or 3 year old girl who seemed like she'd just discovered her lungs. I wanted to punch her in the throat.

Okay, enough venting, I'm just 38 weeks pregnant and super hormonal and the shrieking girl yesterday really had me doubting my sanity/why I decided to go ahead with plan baby when I had a perfectly happy DINK existence for so many years.
