Saturday nights suck.

Okay, so I guess everyone is allowed to be a dumbass one night out of the year. But why is it that my date decides to be it on Winter Formal?? I can't help but want to scream at him right now, about a lot of things. I mean, how retarded can you be to ask about something from frosh year (involving, of course, a guy ::gasp::) ON WINTER FORMAL. It's like, okay take the FREAKING HINT and DROP IT. So there goes an otherwise pretty decent night. It's so frustrating, we've been dating casually since October and we've gotten a lot closer. I like him a lot, I have for almost 3 years and I guess the time is right because things seem to be working between us but I really wish he would get his head out of his damn butt. Okay his head really isn't up his butt... it was only one night... but I'm still really frustrated. I feel like taking him aside a yelling at him, "HELLOO! ARE YOU INSANELY DENSE OR WHAT?? I LIKE YOU, YOU LIKE ME, CAN'T YOU JUST GET A CLUE AND ACT ON IT ALREADY??? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO SHY ABOUT US WHEN YOU KNOW WE BOTH LIKE EACHOTHER WAY MORE THAN EITHER OF US IS LETTING ON?? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO INDIRECT, I MEAN I'M NOT ASKING YOU DO GO CRASHING THROUGH A STEEL DOOR, JUST BE HONEST WITH ME ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT FROM THIS AND FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Actually... I think I will. And NO this is NOT a question. But feel free to comment.. ^^

I went thru the same thing with one of my friends. Of course, we don't talk much now because things hapened the night of homecoming. Anyway...

...just bring it up. Don't always expect him to know what you're thinking. He's probably scared you're gonna reject him. Just bring it up. Guys aren't mind readers.

Shrew's got it dead to rights. Meichan, many guys are not good with hints. Subtlety doesn't work sometimes. When it doesn't, quit using subtlety. If you go with a plan, and it does not work, change the plan.

It bugs the crap out of me when guys are too "shy" to say something or do something. I'm not saying I've ever really wanted a guy to make a move on me, but some are even just too shy to even say they are interested. I have no patience for that. I'm a blunt person, and the whole "secret crush" game lost its value to me back in middle school. If a guy can't take control and say "Guess what, I like you", then... arg, it's just not going to work.

i don't think she's mad because he won't kiss her. i think she's mad because she's putting a lot of time and effort into something that nothing "official" is coming out of.

Urk.... okay bad idea to write a post here when you've just woken up and had a bad night. First of all, let me clarify... it's not a problem of making the first move, we're already past that point. It's emotional frustration, not physical. And fyi, as I'm writing this I am NOT I repeat NOT looking at my post from this AM so I might contradict myself here. Pay attention to this and NOT THE OTHER ONE because I was ON CRACK. Well not literally but you get the idea. Anyway.. I called him this evening after a nice day of getting my hair chopped short (it's CUTE!) and shopping (aka window shopping, lol) with my friends to talk and get out of the house and let off steam. DDRing to 7th Mix is not fun when you haven't DDR'ed PERIOD in like 4 months.... >.O;; My first time on arcade pads= shameful. Oh well, 'twas fun. ^^ I'm better now and not so irritated. And I'm going snowboarding on Tues. with Rob so we'll get a good long cold chance to talk. Yay me.

p.s. Most of my really emotional, frustrated rants like the one from this morning you can ignore or reply to in kind. Because, even a rational person like myself is occasionally susceptible to insane emotional and/ or hormonal reactions depending on the time of day and month. And the weather. ^^;;;;

And to re-clarify because I actually read the responses this time:

1. I am not playing the "secret crush game." I am a junior in high school and I have more clues than that. I'm one of the most ardent advocates AGAINST it. We're dating. But we're not official. Yet. (see comment #4 on this page.) Although I still need to get a clue and not post on this board at 9:30 or whatever the heck it was when I went on the rampage.

2. He kisses me. Relatively regularly. But I've still never made out. Have plans to change this... hehehe... ::evil grin::

3. The "not official=me mad and still putting time in" guess was closest to the mark.

4. read my post from about 5 minutes ago to understand the inner workings of my totally random emotional cycle.

Well Turc, having been the only one to be able to decipher my sleeplessness-induced ramblings.... basically I had my head up my ass about it. That happens sometimes, it's called "when your mad rationality skillz fail and you turn into a quivering mass of teenage femaleness." And don't you DARE tell me that most teenage girls don't fit that stupid "oh, no, a BOY! (shock gasp what do i do??)" image. Because they do. I am one. SO HA. Okay I'm done now.
