Your first post-(reminisce on the good ol' days)

Um, yeah, too embarassed to bring up old posts. I was arrogant and stupid and I didn't understand thing and got mad at people and couldn't type properly. I think I posted my first thread in Advice when it was supposed to go in New Members. I wasn't very bright. Then I left and came back a few months later and tried to be better. I was only twelve when I first joined though, and now i'm almost fifteen so I really hope I've changed for the better.

Mine was a typical "Hi i'm a new person on here" I used the little like you wouldn't believe. Now i just usually hand out every once in a while but other than that i'm good.

I've changed quite a bit, it may not show online but i'm about 20x more busy than i was when i first joined and i think it has made me quite the irritable person.

But online i feel i'm still the goofy person i was when i joined.

I never did a newbie post, I just started posting like a little... posting thing. I didn't spell some stuff right and didn't use capitalization, but I guess I wasn't too bad.

My first post seems innocent enough.

Of course, most of my other new posts were pretty bad. I was, at the time I joined, foolish and, in many ways, the sort of person I'd want to eviscerate if I ever met them and happened to be a ninja. I was even religious. <shudder>

Nonetheless, I wouldn't define myself as "stupid" at that time. Intelligence is the ability to gain understanding, not the level of understanding you have at a given moment. Thanks in good part to the diverse community of Spacefem.com, I changed in many ways. For instance, I was staunchly anti-abortion when I came, but am now pro-abortion. Sure, I was a Christian, but I grew up. With that discarded immaturity went such things as homophobia and faith, and I am much happier because of it.

Outside what might come up in Spacefem.com, I have changed greatly otherwise to. I am far more patient, and have a much better perception of the fundemental nature of general human behaviors and of interpersonal relationships.

I havn't yet ascertained perfect enlightenment, but I do know that I am at least now headed in that general direction, for even if my path towards it is misguided, I'll be able to follow those signs which correct the directions of those who watch for them.

My first post was an introductory one in New Members. It wasn't too bad, either, and I distinctly remember Newly offering me a zillion pezes because I was Aussie
I remember trying too hard to get people to like me when I was a little newbie, it doesn't seem very long ago when I was struggling in my mind where to use long words and where to use not so long words so that I'd have a good enough balance for people to think I was smart. Didn't really work, of course, but I've grown up a bit since then and I'm a very mature poster. lieslieslieslieslieslieslies

Let's see... here's the first post I ever made on Spacefem:
Mathematical goodness! Gosh, I'm a nerd. I remember siginging up just so I could reply to that article. And now look at me. I'm still a dork/
And here's the first time anyone bothered to reply to anything I had to say. Go figure, it's about books. I'm not really escaping the nerd factor here.

This was the first topic I created. I made a lot of posts before I had the courage to make my own new topic. But it's still nerdy, being about chemistry. It's also the thread where I yelled at MFS for misreading my post and assuring him I wasn't as stupid as he thought I was.

Good times, man. I seem to have escaped the stupid-n00bness. Even though at first I apparently stole Shrew's avatar. I changed it, though.

This was my first post which happened to be in New Members. It's not too bad, except for the words. Of course, I am no longer "14.72." I remember not being able to find this emoticon, so I ended up using the rainbow smile.

I've worked on my vocabulary since then and have tried to make some better posts. Keyword being "tried." I went through the rapid post period, trying to achieve that custom title and get more stars, though now my stars have evened up. Looking back at some of my posts from the last month or so, I don't think that I've changed too much. Of course this post was one of my better ones, yet no one replied to it. I'm still an überN00b.

I can remember how scared I was to post. Spacefem was the first forum that I had joined with more than 500 members, and when I saw some members with 1,000 some posts, it was intimidating. Even today, I would rather read posts than actually respond.

I'd like to think I did a halfway decent job at not making an ass of myself (though that's certainly debatable). First post was an intro post, nothing terribly special. Was Newbie of the Week, but as best as I can tell, I'm the only one among my "Crop" that has even stuck around, much less made attempts at constructiveness.

After that, I went nuts in Creativity, critiquing anything and everything, and spending very very little time in any of the other forums, then gradually branching out to Feminism and Advice as topics piqued my interest. I still don't start very many threads, except in Creativity. I think I've started one thread in Happiness, and one in Ranting since my arrival at Spacefem. I've since calmed down a bit in terms of posting - as I recall, I hit 100 posts within about 4 days (MFS-esque rates!), which is pretty insane.

Oh, yes I was hated. In my first post someone (I forget who) told me that they didn't like me based on their first impression of me. That kind of hurt my feelings, so I stayed away for about two weeks. Then I came back, to be forever changed by this amazing world of spacefem.com

Oh God, I remember that. You did post an ungodly large number of posts in one or two days. You annoyed a few people, but I doubt you were ever hated. Of course I can only speak for myself. I never hated you.
