I make my own granola, and I like to eat that mixed with generic cereal (corn flakes, wheat puffs, whatever) and yogurt on school days.
I do also have a soft spot for oatmeal (steel-cut is great), as well as Red River porridge. Oh also semolina porridge and cornmeal porridge.
I don't like sugary cereal (unless it's dry as an afternoon/evening snack, that's different), and I don't like milk on my cereal.
Given the choice, though, I'll have toast, hash browns and eggs, over easy or poached and runny. Or slow-cooked scrambled eggs.
Or eggs poached in tomato sauce on toast (my newest favourite).
Or French Toast, but only made properly. You have to use day-old French bread, anything else (I'm looking at you, whole wheat sandwich loaf) is too dense.
I also want to try Huevos Rancheros one of these days, but it's hard to find good corn tortillas around here, and I'm not up to the task of making my own first thing in the morning.
Um. Breakfast is pretty much my favourite meal.
