..but school is starting relatively soon! So what's your favorite subject? or what was your favorite, if you're not in school anymore?

In high school English was my favourite class, because that was where we always had the most interesting discussions.

Could someone give me examples of what these different types of maths are like? What's precal?

Mathmo, I believe precal is referring to Pre-Calculus, which was my downfall last semester.

I'm an English major, so yeah. Hollerrrrrrrr

MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSIC! I did yr 12 solo and ensemble last year, so only four subjects for me this year, and I'm doing music again and doing Special Study. My teacher was thinking of me doing one of the Leonard Bernstein song cycles (the one with 'I'm five' in it). Eeeee so excited. (I actually...like school.)

I picked other because I love my choir class, but my second choice would have been U.S. History or maybe Calculus.

Hmmm ... but what do you actually *do* pre-calculus? I'm guessing calc is where you first learn to integrate and differentiate ... what is there before that? Learning to deal with expressions with xs in? :confusion/bemusement:

Well, Mathmo, it's hard to say... I passed the class by one point... haha
Umm... my class was a pre-cal in combination with trig and I didn't pay enough attention to be able to tell the two apart. But we did learn about sin cosin and tangent (maybe that was the trig part?) and we graphed a whole bunch of crap. Oh! And we did logarithms. GOD logarithms. I hated them. I think it was basically calculus, except a baby-version. You know how they have pre-algebra? That kind of thing.

Oh snap, I can't even answer that either. I basically zoned out in the class even though I somehow managed to pass it. I can't even remember it.

All of them besides U.S History and U.S Government, I love school and all it has to offer me. One of my other favourite subject's that you didn't have on the list is Philosophy. I think my High School is one of the only ones who offer Philosophy as a subject. Though I do have to do it in my own time.
