Hot

Postby Sonic# » Fri Aug 26, 15:08 2011

This morning, I could smell everything. It was hot and sticky by 9:30, and every trash can that wasn't empty had a distinct stomach-curdling odor that entered my mouth against my will.

Then this afternoon, I waited for the bus for over a half hour because a few minutes early is apparently a few minutes late, and the bus that came after was full.

While I am grateful to not have a hurricane, I've seldom wished harder for a rainshower, books be damned.

I live in the pacific northwest where we are no strangers to rain. In fact, we all wait with anticipation for the sun to actually come out for (hopefully) a few months out of the year. But you know, the toastiest of times make you wish for rain. The solution is to not have one or the other, but to have a balance of both rain and shine, I think!

The rain is so purifying of the air. :D

My friend(we live in Toronto) went to Australia for the month of January and she said she thought she was going to pass out and die.

You have struggled into existence, and are now slipping silently out of it. This is everyone's experience. Every single one. The specifics hardly matter. Everyone's everyone.

Oh, I'm mainly not complaining about the heat, but rather the humidity with the heat. We don't have any sea breeze here (we're hours inland), so outside of showers and fronts, there isn't too much air circulation. And this time of the year, we haven't seen much of either.

Ugh, humidity is the absolute worst. It's the one weather-related thing that manages to make me go into rages. It's so uncomfortable and frustrating to take a shower, feel good for two minutes, then head back outside and be bathed in sweat again.

Yeah, that was...not fun. But I thought it was every day over 35? That was back in...09? Yeah. Not looking forward to summer.

I don't remember that one. Are you sure it was for five weeks...? Anywho, Adelaide is fucking hotter than what anyone else says it is. /offtopic

I'm not looking forward to summer. It's bad enough that it's 40 fucking degrees let alone having to wear pantyhose and covered shoulders for work and along with that, being fat. AND this year I have to fucking cover my arms as well. Arrrrgh how am I going to do that. I hate summer already.
