We are more than what they make us

Postby christiannaa » Thu Apr 19, 20:59 2012

Hello. I'm Christy. I am nineteen years old. Aquarius. I currently work the horrible rat race of almost minimum wage, and soon enough I'll be working on going to college. I plan to become a Ultrasound Technician.

I like to crochet, knit, blog, listen to good music, snuggle the heck out of my boyfriend, fight for the rights of humanity and animals, and just meet new people and hang out.

I am a feminist. That's why I'm here, but all of this is very new, and I'm still learning and trying to understand all that feminism represents and benefits for me and those around me. That's why I signed up for the forum. I'm very proud to fight for my rights as a woman, even if I'm young.

Welcome. It's always good to find young people who are more aware that the fight has not been won than I was back then.

And now since I seem to be on an "I feel old" kick, I will just wander off muttering about lawns and kids.
Global warming is intricately tied to the decline in the pirate population. As the pirate population goes down, the average global temperature goes up. Ergo, pirates are cool, and we need more pirates. :pirate: ARRR!

Welcome to the board! I hope you get to learn a lot - and teach us something too!

Do you have any quirks when eating candy? (I guess that begs the question of whether you do eat candy. If you don't, apologies.) Like, saving one color (or animal in the case of animal crackers) for last, or letting the chocolate melt v. chewing it?

Oh, you are wonderful. And please don't feel old. I feel incredibly young, in almost every aspect of my life. It's so sad, actually. When I was in highschool all I wanted was to be older and out, but now it's like there is another goal to reach. But i guess thats life.

Yes, of course! [Who doesn't eat candy?] I love organizing my M&Ms by color, but that's if there time. One particular thing I do is I take half of the cake part of a cupcake and put it on top to make a sandwich. Best way to enjoy cupcakes.

Music that's compelling, with some emotional movement. But I also love Lady Gaga, not to downside her very emotional music, because she's got it. She's just a mostly pop based, dance artist.

I like all kinds of music, literally, almost every genre. So it's hard to define, but it's got to have some substance, not just useless, stupid emptyness.

That... that's brilliant. Doing this immediately.
It will do you no harm to find yourself ridiculous.
Resign yourself to be the fool you are.

Welcome to spacefem! What are your favourite type of pants/trousers?
No thanks, I already have a :penguin:
