I guess I'll vote ocean. Though really most of those are fun. Ocean and lake are the two "I'm really totally on vacation" places though.

I've just started swimming! I bought prescription goggles and wow, they have changed my life

okay, I've only been to the pool 3 times so far ... but that's in a week and a half, and I bought a 12-trip ticket so I have to go back at least another 9 times

(am trying to swim for fitness so getting there regularly is important).

I've not had much opportunity to swim places other than indoor pools. Oh! But when I was in Malaysia with my Mum last year, the sea there was AMAZING

so yes - tropical-ish sea FTW! (I suspect the sea around the UK is a lot colder ...)

For most of my life, I would spend entire summers in my grandparents' outdoor pool, swimming and jumping off the diving board.

Now that I'm too far away for that, I'm still fond of outdoor pools, but huge indoor pools are really cool. Or hot tubs, or ocean beaches...

I picked waterpark, but really the key for me is to be outside. So indoor water park? Not as much fun as regular outdoor pool.

Also I really don't like the ocean. Most of the time you can't see the bottom so you don't know when it drops out unexpectedly (though I have seen exceptions to this in the Mediterranean and the Carribbean) and I HATE being surprised by seaweed touching me. Ewww. Also sand gets everywhere and is impossible to clean off.

I voted river, because like, a creek or a mountain stream or something like that is probably my favorite. I can't actually swim so I like to be able to walk around the bottom and bother marine life and find rocks and etc. Also, waterfalls are cool.

I like swimming in the sea; the water is a bit chilly here so I haven't been swimming in the sea since I was in Western Australia in '91... I haven't been swimming at all since '92
