One of my biggest pet peeves in the internet world is web designers who think that they're so advanced and artistic that the only way to express themselves is to leave out 30-60% of the population with stupid, browser-specific design techniques. Usually it's not even because they're artistic, it's just because they're too stupid to find another way to accomplish their goal. Or, they just have no personality and feel like slapping a bit "IE ONLY!!!" message on their main page because, I don't know, they like admitting that Microsoft owns their soul? I can't relate.

But I can relate to this website:
<a href="http://www.anybrowser.org/">http://www.anybrowser.org/</a>

<hr>This is mostly a campaign site, with buttons and banners available so you can proclaim that your website is available with any browser. It also contains a helpful design guide, links to similar sites, reasons why browser-specific web pages suck, and polite letters you can send to owners of forementioned sites.

Seriously people, there are many very powerful tools on the web that you can create sites with, and hundreds of ways to create layouts that work in any browser. It doesn't kill you to test out your site and will make you seem much more smart and friendly if your site works for everyone. We don't live in a One Browser To Rule Them All world, but sometimes it seems like people would like it that way... they'd like Explorer to tell them what to see, how to see it, where to go next. Well not me.

Personally, I can't believe more people don't use <a href="http://www.mozilla.org">Mozilla</a>. It's fast, small, and has an option to TURN OFF POP-UP ADS... why would you surf with anything else? I don't get it. But I digress. Visit <a href=http://www.anybrowser.org/>anybrowser.org</a> and get smart.

I don't understand the big deal. If people want to use browsers that have a different version of javascript, I think they deserve not to be able to go to lots of sites. There should be a standardized way to do JavaScript and HTML that all browsers use. As far as I'm concerned, IE is pretty good. I've heard lots of complaints about Netscape and JavaScript. As for Mozilla, it has some good features, several things that are really nice as compared to IE, but I was using it with a javascript I was writing, and my javascript worked in IE and not in Mozilla. I think Mozilla would be great for some things, like downloading files with the download manager, but if it has problems with basic JavaScript, I'm not gonna use it for my main browser.
beware, the LURKING HORRORS!!
