Yup. And I've organised them.

Not exactly. I did boycott a number of "class boycotts" (or student "strikes"?). The so called strikers were just 8-10 people blocking the gates at my closed campus whining about their almost free tuition going up by $10 per credit hr, 95% of students just played hooky on strike days and went to the beach, and there were a few times when I was on project deadlines and had to go into the shop instead of joining my fellow bums at the beach.

A couple. The most memerable one: The organizer had gotten groups from other areas pledged to go, contacted media. I was really impressed by her. We have a group of people in a big van and all the sudden someone backs out, says they need to leave. Suddenly, everyone in the van except for me and the organizer has backed out and won't be going. We go. The other groups that are supposed to meet us there don't show up. The media comes and leaves when they see a two person protest. Workers came out to mock us dance to our chants during their lunch break. We're escorted away by police. There were supposed to be these smaller echo protests around the country at this business's locations while the main protest took place at the headquarters during a board meeting. I think ours was smaller than an echo.

I used to go to protests and marches quite a bit back in the '80s and '90s. I was in my teens and more into the bonding than the politics, though. Do Pride Parades count? I spent a summer in a percussion group called the Batucada Belles and we went to Pride Parades all over New England.

I've showed up at many of them, but I've never been particularly involved in organising them.

I generally don't have much time to prepare placards, so I usually bring an A3 map holder with printed messages. (Link to Facebook photo of me holding the map holder placard)

I once went to two back-to-back rallies at the same location, and the first one was fairly small. At the end of the first, I swapped the contents of my map holder to display a different message. The organiser of the first rally told me that my map holder placard was "more organised than this entire rally". xD
