New site feature: Spacefem's big daily etsy contest

I'm going through an etsy obsession phase and wanted to do one more thing to give some love and exposure to good shops. So here it is! A great big "vote for your favorite thing" sort of contest that pulls in 100 totally random etsy items every day and lets us all just pick our fave:

It's really simple, just click on the better item, we'll tally up which one wins the most, and you can leave comments on each day's picks. On the first day of the month, we'll pull $1 items. On the second day, $2. On the 10th of the month, $10.

If you're a shop owner and you want to increase your odds of being in the contest, you can submit your shop and we'll check periodically to see what you've got in the day's category.

The items can be handmade, vintage, good, bad, for kids, for adults, stylish, awful... I'm doing no real filtering! It's just whatever etsy has to throw at us on a given day.

Ok I have zero experience with etsy. I saw something I liked while clicking vote-y things but it seems to me I have no way of telling if this is a reputable seller. If it were a random intarwebz site I would be suspicious. Thoughts?

if they dont send your stuff or misrepresent you can file grievance w/ paypal

and paypal does handle disputes pretty good

Oh, that's good to know. I didn't even think to look into how etsy's payment system was set up. Maybe I'll try one from this seller and then if it works out ok I'll buy all the things.

Also etsy has feedback, a lot like eBay. You can visit a sellers shop and their percent should be displayed, and you can click to read what other customers have said.
