Kansas
Kansas is a charming state in the middle of the United States that you should certainly visit.
Besides being the home of spacefem herself, Kansas is a major exporter of wheat, soybeans, corn, and airplanes.
Here our some of our (honest) favorite things about Kansas:
- The drive between Emporia and Wichita is quite lovely. The highway goes through the Flint Hills... miles of gently rolling nothingness that provides good sunset photo ops. You can also count cows.
- Wichita has an amazing zoo, considering that it's Wichita.
- It also has an amazing downtown area. You can get a hotel in old town, go to bars until you can't walk, and roll to your hotel. It's safe and very friendly.
- There are peaceful wind farms, if you're into windmills. They're a tiny bit creepy in that sci-fi silent huge technology sort of way, but don't think about them coming to life too much and it won't get to you.
- Boulevard Pale Ale
