Margaritas

A margarita is a sweet alcoholically beverage made from tequila and lime. Some margaritas are made from margarita mix but this is completely lame... really, it is. If you want chemical-sludge tasting margaritas, use a mix. If you're an elitist, use lime juice and sugar. If you're somewhere in between (smart, but lazy) you can use frozen limeaid, which contains both lime (kinda) and sugar, saving you from all that squeezing work.

Spacefem's Margaritas That Don't Suck

Makes 2 liters.

In a 2 liter pitcher, combine:

• 1 can of frozen limeaid concentrate
• tequila, measured by filling that same can
• triple sec, measured by half filling that same can

Add ice and water to 2L and stir. You can add pure ice and do the blender thing for frozen margaritas, but most blenders only hold 1L so you have to be crafty about it.

The nice thing about this, besides the fact that it doesn't taste like chemicals, is that a can of frozen limeaid is about $1.30 and can be found at any grocery store. A jug of margarita mix, which makes the same amount of margarita, is $5-7. So if you're having a really good party and planning to make 12 pitchers of margaritas, this is the way to go.

Additional Optional Ingredients

• Lime, for genuineness (it won't kill you to throw one in there)
• A can of beer. It makes it kind of zesty and carbonated-tasting, which some people think is very yummy.
• Extra tequila, obviously
• Salt or sugar for rimming (the glass, please)
• Grenadine or other flavoring... try what you like, add what you want, see what happens.
