What is the origin of your username?

They're stars. Vega is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, and the Pleiades are a group of seven stars.

I had a bit of an alien obsession when I came up with that alias. Now that's who I am everywhere, except when I need aliases for my aliases. And aliases for my aliases for my aliases. And so on.

How did you get to spacefem.com?

I have a vague recollection of seeing useless blobs when I was like...ten, and then forgetting about them. Occasionally I'd think, "What was that site again?" And then one day on Neopets I came across the blobs. And I clicked on it.

I did everything on the site, and the last thing I did was join the forums and immediately proceed to stink everything up with my idiocy.

I think I was like, 11 or 12.

Where is your user pic from, and what does it mean to you?

It's a scene from one of my favorite songs (Origin of Love) from Hedwig & The Angry Inch, one of my all-time favorite movies. It's two stick figures on a blanket watching a meteor shower together. The line that goes with it is also my title.

It fits with the stars thing with my username.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I'm not entirely sure. For awhile I wanted to be an actress, but it has occured to me how completely impossible that would be. So now I'm pretty indecisive. I think I would really dig it if I became a college professor - the kind that doesn't even really teach but they do studies and papers and research and stuff forever. That would be pretty awesome.

What general things should we know about you?

I'm a fat young lady with clinical depression, social anxiety, and ligyrophobia (fear of loud noises, such as balloons popping). I have an overwhelming fear of being rejected in any circumstance by anyone. I want everyone to like me more than anyone else. I am extremely prone to limerence. I have a weird nonlinear thought process. I get jealous easily and I hate anyone who stands in the way of me and someone I care about (platonically or otherwise).

Children tend to like me a lot because I'm sweet to them and I still remember what it was like being a kid. I'm a physically warm person. Apparently I exude heat. I am also squishy.

I have a huge rack.

I act. Not just on stage.

I've been in love before. As it turns out, the guy wasn't really worth it after all. He's a nice guy really, but he hurt me badly. I'm still not entirely over it. But I have no doubt in my mind that I truly did love him. It's one of the few constants that I'm absolutely sure of.

I have a distressing tendency to condescend people. Somehow I manage to be incredibly arrogant and proud, but also self-loathing and a bit of a doormat.

I'm a witty person apparently. I think about half of my wit is accidents that I play off as being a joke. I don't get people.

I am fascinated by gender. I don't know why.

I'm scared of a lot of things - forgetting the past, not knowing the future, making it through the present. I haven't really got any choice but to keep going. Some people mistake that as bravery. It isn't.

How do you generally stand on political issues?

I believe in sex and drugs and rock and roll.

I think only ridiculously smart people should be president. I don't want to have a fucking beer with the President. They should have better things to do.

Describe any animals you live with.

I have two cats. One is about 13 and is all black, her name's Ebony. The other is a tabby named Ginger. She is such a dog. She plays fetch and everything.

Also a lot of fish, and my sister's gerbil Chuy.

I like wearing a lot of things that could be considered gothy. I own a lot of black clothing because I like the style and it's very flexible. I like long skirts and jeans, anything that covers my legs. I like long sleeves, but unfortunately I don't get much opportunity to wear them.

I dislike wearing tight clothing or things with prints.

What are your nicknames (on this forum, or in real life)?

In real life my name is Emily. My parents and some of my friends call me Em, and my grandparents used to call me Emmy. I'm not sure how I feel about either of those nicknames. I also occasionally go by the name Deshonda. Deshonda is my alter ego. Her full name is Deshonda Victoria Ewell-Smith. She is basically CowboyRaver's username personified.

On the internet I go pretty much exclusively by Vega. Lilly calls me Milly. There was also a period of time where people called me Veggiekins and/or Vegina. Calling me by either nickname will result in your death. No one calls me Veggie because Guitarveggie is Veggie. So thank you, Veggie.

I'm still trying to get people to call me Principessa like in La Vita E Bella. You know, "Buon giorno principessa".

Which gender are you sexually attracted to?

I consider myself to be pansexual. I've dated both men and women, but I tend to lean more towards men. As of this writing, I have a massive crush on my male best friend.
