Re: terrible but fun

I don't know if I'm terrible at them or just hypercritical of my attempts, but engineering puzzle games (SpaceChem, the sequence, etc) keep drawing me back in.

They're hard so it's probably okay to feel stupid at times. I just get the sense that I'm slow at logic puzzles.

Soft g, like jif.

If I'm around insufferable nerds who must correct this grave sin, I show them the PBS video about how it's actually pronounced ZHAIF.

I have not and, in the interest of public safety, probably shouldn't.

I hear that people would rather eat food than wear it.

Re: Themed gift exchange... uhh??

^ The person who got it said the same thing. The gift seemed to have been well received. The exchange was notably non-cringy. Everyone brought food-based presents for their countries. We ended up getting the Germany themed gift: A gift card for a local restaurant (not strictly German but offers Germ...

Re: Themed gift exchange... uhh??

God, I feel like that theme is begging to lead to national stereotypes. Oh boy, for sure. I'm expecting the exchange to be rather cringy. ETA: Ultimately, I bought a premade gift basket. It has a couple varieties of pasta and sauces, a bottle of chianti, a wooden spoon, and the "basket" is a coland...

Themed gift exchange... uhh??

Sir Neko's family is doing a random gift exchange this year. It's themed so that we each get assigned a country. Ours is Italy. Should be easy to find a gift that fits, right? ...But I'm totally drawing a blank. I love getting or making gifts for specific people. It's the one customary thing about t...

Sad mouth

My teeth are fucked up, y'all. There are many reasons why. If I can be forgiven for one bout of defensiveness, it isn't from poor hygiene. Even at my worst mental state, I have managed to at least brush my teeth. But I otherwise ignored problems to the point where I had to have some teeth removed. S...

Re: What have you taught someone else to do?

I trained a coworker on a process involving photodiode circuit boards that were each worth more than I make in a year. You know, no pressure or anything. :kill:

I taught my grandma how to use her pc.

My ex claims I taught him to respect women.

Reciprocating saw, electric drill, heat gun, some kind of dremel... I don't use them very often. Most of my projects are minor and don't need more than hand tools.

Rampage. It was as stupid as I expected but I didn't hate it.

It was my mom and stepdad's idea to go see it. They both dislike video games so it was kinda funny how much they liked it.

Re: what beeps in your house?

Me, probably. I make noises in my sleep. Snoring happens when we inhale but this happens during the exhale, as I have learned by googling it. I've woken myself up from half sleep by making little half-hearted screams. It sometimes sounds like bad voice acting. It's really fucking weird.

Re: What games have you played lately?

I miss raiding in WoW. I don't know what it's like now but it used to be like a full-time job trying to keep up with it. I don't think I would have the patience or drive for it now. Speaking of patience, I'm doing a "nuzlocke" run in a Pokemon game for the first time ever. If you're unfamiliar, it's...
