I do think you just have to remember not everything has to be perfect, it just has to be done.

Kinda like "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good"?

Re: What's your story about a time when you made it through a really stressful work/school situation?

We're renovating a suburban property. When we moved in, every week something blew up. We had to grow a new hand to deal with the explosion, because the other two hands were already dealing with last week's aftermath. That was the first two years. Entirely new electrical, telephone wiring, two new ba...

Re: Job Decisions

Excellent points so far, remember the "thank you for your time" post-interview letter that's normally sent to the interviewer and HR rep(s). They're now kind of required, which is astonishing, but it may be why job #1 hasn't gotten back to you yet.

Equality VS Equity

We watched an interesting talk by a transwoman on her journey, and she mentioned equality VS equity. Curious, I looked up a few articles on the subject. I'd welcome all ya'all's thoughts. Here are some interesting quotes: https://everydayfeminism.com/2014/09/equality-is-not-enough/ Equity is giving ...

A bunch of really important books that I loved. One of the benefits of being an adult is finding them online and buying them just to have and read and gloat over. Hm, maybe I'm a dragon and this is my hoard? Also, have lost most of my self-consciousness. I'm a loud fat old disgusting woman who's her...

Re: What was your longest vacation?

Inbetween jobs, took a driving vacation to visit friends and family. If we could survive a month on the road together, said good things about our eventual marriage. Yep... worked out.

The friendships? Not so much. Glad we figured that out, too.

Re: Interesting roundup of the "red pill" manosphere

You moved very quickly between two sets of data: 67% of mass murders being done by young white males, and the US population of young white males. The latter measure is so different because you add gender: the vast majority of mass shooters are male. So you went from a measure that didn't count gend...

For example, you want to know the funny thing about the pie chart above? It's pretty close to the total racial demographics of the US at large: That's not a fair comparison. Since the proposal is "Young white males are radicalized by the alt-right on the internet and that can lead to murder", compa...

I just went through kind of the same thing. It's awful, I'm sorry.

You may find that seeing other cats who desperately want a home hurts twice, both wanting to help them and in that they remind you of your cat. Be gentle with yourself, you deserve time to heal.

I've been watching most of these yahoos whisper to each other in their he man woman haters clubhouse for years. Re: The female price of male pleasure

I don't really see the point of comparing which sex has the best pleasure or the worst sexual experience at the expense of the other sex. I don't think this is the point. When women aren't aware of what "good" sex is -- outside of just "not too painful" -- then we literally get women who don't know...
