clinton had the economy running well, but they say the reason it was running well was because of what Reagan did in the 80s. the economy takes a long time to change, and the current recession could probably be more to blame on Bush Sr. than Bush Jr. but i don't know my economic theory as well as som...

noparenthesis' guide to dating for males

Editor's Note: This charming tutorial is a reply to Spacefem's Guide To Getting A Boyfriend, which was, I suppose, written more for women. So by posting this our loyal visitors will know that we are in fact concerned about improvement o...

i've thought about this. i think the only justification for a war in iraq is if the people there revolt FIRST and then ask for our help. sort of like an america-france revolutionary thing. but as the people are not openly searching for a revolution, nor are they asking for our aid, i don't see any j...

oh man. i have a list of 180 books i've read that are STUNNING. but recently i've read House of LEaves by Mark Danielewski, which is amazing... but scary, and twisted, and gave me nightmares. it's not that it was written to be a horror story... but it is simply twisted. even hte text format. and now...

ohhh, i've read the entire series! rawk! it's really an amazing series, i'd recommend it to anyone. although it's not up to the usual... intellectually high-brow-ery that i'm used to (::wink::) it's still pretty neat. very long, though, the whole series, i think it took me a few months to get throug...

not sure of the politics happening in this board but i have to say that the most beautiful poets i've ever read have been in spanish. bequer, neruda, cervantes... their use of language surpasses any english author or poet i've ever read. maybe it's that i find spanish more romantic. maybe it's that ...
