no, the article specifically says she was not willing:
Whoops. I should've double-checked that. I think that he still takes considerable effort to say why he wouldn't anyway...

Re: Tactical Slut-Shaming

^ Ah, but the author describes himself as being the one who chose not to sleep with her since she was undesirable, even though she was willing. That's where the hypocrisy would come in, if I didn't think the guy was icky and probably exaggerating. I have several issues with the piece: 1. The contrad...

Re: New girl in town

That last line could be mine too. I just got done listening to an NPR program where a woman talked about being wary of joining a peace march because they were scared of the self-assured groupthink that would go on, even as she agreed with the cause. Whatever your reasons, I can probably agree with t...

Re: It's Halloween and I am...

I am recovering from last night. I had a goodly amount of beer and even more candy, after an entire day of helping a friend move. So I'm physically exhausted and mentally lagging.

I did go grocery shopping as a vampire hunter though.

I keep a trashcan in my room, a holdover from the dorm days where my bedroom was my room. It's very useful for tissues, condoms, and the like. I try to throw away any food items in the kitchen, to keep ants from finding me where I sleep. >_>

I've baked the seeds before too, normally in school, but on occasion at home. They were pretty good, sort of like giant sunflower seeds or slightly burnt popcorn.

It's now a month later, and where I am, the trees haven't even half-turned yet. >_>

Re: Simple nine patch quilt [quilt]

I like the quilt a bunch. I've never quilted myself, but I have watched my grandmother do it. I ended up using one of her quilts as a blanket, until it got too fragile to continue. I wonder about the color too. Pink? Did you have your choice of pink? Is it the salman sort, the pastel type, or the el...

Re: Visualize Yourself Game

That's weird! I, uh, didn't think about how we might reveal the words we used. I guess the best options would be to (1) include it in the original post in spoiler text, or (2) edit the original post after the next person guesses with your answer. I'll use the first method with this post and see what...

Re: halloween costumes: make or buy?

The first costume I remember was a clown costume that my mom made for me. You can see that here, without makeup. Then throughout my childhood I had a combination of both. Waldo was mostly store-bought. The few years as a zombie soldier I threw together my hunting stuff and my grandfather's military ...

Visualize Yourself Game

So I had this idea right before SakuraSong posted her "I am a..." topic. Now I'm running with it. 1. Pick four or five words that describe yourself, trying to keep them balanced between physical attributes and personality traits. Don't tell them out loud. 2. Do an image search with all of these word...

Re: Spinning out in orbit

It sounds like the main issue isn't any single problem. If it were just finding a place, you could do that easily enough. If it were just doubts about a relationship, you could probably hold your own. If it were just the acupuncture test, or just the offer to move away from home, or just student loa...

I can put up with anything thrown at me, as long as I have the feeling that it will end. I can, and wil...

^ Me too. I've been staring at the options willing them to be real. But even the Mets is a magical option! (But I guess a hilarious one. ^_^)

So, Penguins it is! They have difficulty swinging the bat, but just try to stop one sliding into a base!

A masterful anti-troll. I laughed. I was a little thrown by him using the other guy's girlfriend's looks too, but he was just throwing trash for trash at that point. No points for originality, only a few for taste, but it was for a good cause.

I knew it was because the banks were closed. *shakes fist* Baaaanks! Wasn't it also national coming out day? Was the placement of the day intentional? I actually hope that Columbus Day remains a holiday, even after that video. What they said was correct. That's the reason why we should remember it. ...

Dave Foley. :) I first learned about DIva cups when my ex got one. It made sense to me. We didn't have sex during her periods much, but it wasn't out of disgust on either side. It just required more lube and was less comfortable for her. I never had a problem with it. It's weird - I can nearly faint...
