Why do books pre-hate me?

Post by FernGully » Thu Feb 27, 21:43 2003

Honestly. I went to the library the other day to look up some info on my law assignment and the ONLY book in the library containing my topic was taken out. So I waited. I came back today and it was checked back in. I was happy. I opened the book to the section that specifically pertained to what I was doing and the ONLY page I needed what fudgin ripped half way. WHYYYYYY!!!! I yelled that in the library. THEY KICKED ME OUT! I've never been kicked out before.

Fuck them I stole that book too. They kicked me out when it was in my hand. I'm SOOO not bringing it back.

Its kind of funny in the end.

I needed to complain, but hopefully its not a lame and redundant post. I also dont want pity! NO PITY. Maybe you could explain to me why books hate me in advance, stupid books. Who told THEM they could be so smart?!

Actually, I never heard of this particular situation before.

Congratulations, Fern, you are the only person I know of that's been kicked out of a library. :)

The only thing I've done like that is yell at my locker and slap my computer. They do evil things to me. You did the right thing by yelling at a book- hey, maybe the person who ripped out the page did it because they couldn't find the information they wanted, so they hurt the book in retailiation? Worth a thought...

ha ha! sorry, laughing with you I promise.

Getting kicked out of a public place actually earns you points here on spacefem.com though, if you'll remember. So congratulations!

I've never been kicked out of anywhere before either... but I've wanted to stand outside Old Navy and yell "Evil!! EVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLL!!!" When an employee walks by... but I uh didn't... or stand inside those round clothes racks and say "Pick me!! Pick me!!" lol. Never actually done that either. It'd still be funny.

I have on many occations hit and kicked my computer, yelled at it, and gave the evil eye, I think everyone (who uses windows at least) has. Lol.

my ap american history teacher always says how great it would be if we could just put our hand on the book and suck up all the information through our arms to our brains.

it would make life a whole lot easier, that's for sure. it wouldn't take me so long to do my fudging homework. :P

When little kids are being loud in the library I go and sit among them. Then they run away to their parents. I think it's the black and the spikes.

Books are the most animate inanimate objects that I have ever met. Have you noticed that they can make themselves invisible? Yup...d'ja ever notice that when you go to the book case that you know you last saw a particular book in, it's no longer there? Un huh...it's gone, invisible'd, cuz it knew you were coming for it. Tomorrow, of course when you go back after another book, the one you couldn't find today, and that you no longer need? Why, there it is...right where you thought it was in the first place. Laughing.

sansspina, books do that??, your little story reminds me of toy story and how when you are not looking toys have this whole little life of their own going on, so what was the last book that did that to you??
