I wonder what Caitlyn Jenner has to say about that.

The rich and powerful defining whole populations out of existence. That's Orwellian and dystopian.

^ It boggles my mind how blatantly someone can speak on behalf of "science" or "objectivity" while wilfully denying the science and the existence of transgender people, climate change, evolution, and a long list of other things.

I just learned about this yesterday. I don't think I've encountered a more appropriate use of "Orwellian". So the courts could shoot it down (not gonna happen) or the legislative branch could make the law more explicit. I heard there was a bill with that included but it hasn't gotten anywhere. Does anyone know if local discrimination laws that explicity state gender and sexuality orientation would hold? Does the executive directive undermine those somehow?

They're trying to take it to other countries! To succeed there, America would have to ally with Russia and conservative Islamic states AGAINST Europe.

Trump administration wants to remove 'gender' from UN human rights documents

Despite that, all I see from TERFS is GO TRUMP!!

As if Mr "Grab em by the pussy" is totally doing this to be a champion for afab women and lesbians.

Sorry for the confusion. I was thinking about city, country, and even state wide legislation within the US. I know anti-descrimination laws that would include trans individuals are on some ballots this November and am aware of others that have been passed within the last decade. So my question was if the Federal definition would supercede or invalidate them somehow (looking for slivers of hope).

State law has the final say, but the issue is the red states will have the ability to discriminate at work, school etc unchallenged.

I think establishments should, not discrimnate but choose their own views about how they do things so people with certain beliefs can still maintain certain environments and it leaves the choice with people. While discrimination should be shunned policies can vary especially in education. Peoples beliefs are varied and hopefully states will cater to such.

Because of this and other things they should loosen school zoning restrictions.
