Howdy!

Post by Plotthickens » Mon Dec 18, 2:06 2017

How do, everyone. I'm Plot, Plotty, or whatever variation you fancy as long as it's recognizable. I'm a chatelaine, put on airs, have deliberate terriers and accidental rats, and am a native Californian.

Glad to be part of a forum that puts their pro-swearing stance right out on Front Street.

Wooooooo Californian!! Extra special welcome to you. Are the rats pets, or pests? (or both - I suppose those two aren't mutually exclusive).
Bork is too lazy to bother thinking up a witty signature. :polarbear:

Dawwwwww, I offer moderately-expensive Artisinal Heirloom Hipster Vegan Curated Avocado Cashew-Butter Toast as thanks for the welcome.

The rats are pests. They're eating the chickens' eggs, and as usual for a winter, have invaded our house. Just bought a dozen rat traps and set most of em. Between our beloved Terriers and the terrifying traps, they're gonna be toastier than the welcome toast! DIE!

*pant pant pant*

Sorry, just finished listening to Maddow. She gets me all riled up.

Welcome! We had mice, I'm glad we don't have rats! eeek. Of course we found out when one of the cats proudly brought his kill for me to see... on the bed in the middle of the night.

I see your Artisinal Heirloom Hipster Vegan Curated Avocado Cashew-Butter Toast and raise you cheese and crackers like you've never seen before.

Hi and welcome to the spacefem forums! What's your favourite colour? How did you find the forums? Have you read the FAQ yet?
Ugh, I'm tired of my signature.

Thank you. Self-deprecating quip about neuroses goes here.

Effective mousers are the best! Innards-decorated sheets, not so much. Congrats/sympathy.

Most shades of green.

Yep, when I got to how swearing was OK near the end of the FAQs, I breathed a sigh of relief!

Oh no. Well, good that it's at least a little wet down there, but... any damage to the car, from the drizzle, or you, from the no sleep? I've had three illnesses in the last two months, just bambambam, and now I have the most energy about a half an hour after I need to be asleep, so yeah disrupted sleep scheduled are NO fun.

Thanks, geldofc. Nope, this is going to hang around for a few more weeks. I got an enterovirus (gut lining attack), a cold (respiratory tract attack) and then another enterovirus. So the bugs got into two different body systems' cells, used them to replicate, and then the new bugs burst out of my cells like Alien chestbursters. There's too much cell damage to fix quickly.

Quick reminder: flu infections are up 760% from last year. This year's strains are really, really, really contagious (Australia's flu season was horrendous). Get the flu shot, it'll stop you from getting the H3 flu and reduce the amount of time you're sick from the H1 group.
