religion and politics

Post by Angelica » Tue Sep 13, 0:30 2016

I'm putting religion and politics in the same thread because they can be somewhat intertwined. What are your religious and political views?

I believe in a female God who has sent Her only child (also female) to Earth as our Savior. The Mother is called Alicia and the Daughter is called Isabella. Since this theme is also present in Christianity, I call the Daughter Christ. I call my religion the Angelic Faith, since I believe that I am an angel, a messenger of the 1 true divine light. Ishtarlover and I are archangels.

I'm politically independent. The left wing bothers me because of its excessive tolerance and the right wing because of its excessive intolerance. The center is neither tolerant nor intolerant enough. I'm an extreme feminist and I'm socially and economically extremely liberal.

I worships pants. I am liberally conservative and conservatively liberal. Clearly I am left. I enjoy apples.

At least you've contributed something (pants) to this thread.

How do you know they're named Alicia and Isabella?

Yeah, I'm still not sold on Alicia and Isabella (just as names, not as concepts). Is it pronounced A-lee-see-uh or Uh-LEE-sha?

The Q is silent.
Where there's smoke, there's fire. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. So just shut up, and bring some water.

I say "a-LEE-sha" but She thinks "a-LISS-ee-a", "ah-LEE-syah" and "ah-LEE-thyah" are other acceptable pronunciations. She doesn't care how people say Her name, She just wants everyone to believe in Her because with our faith Her power to do good increases.

Did you know Ishtarlover was a divine Angel before you met on the forum? Or do you know each other from before?

Alicia and Ishtar united us a few days ago via this forum. Our meeting was divine destiny.

Gods are powerful enough to do that. Alicia and Ishtar know each other now. None of them are omniscient, they're always learning.

I am militant agnostic because I don't fucking know and YOU don't fucking know either. I'm also politically incorrect from the old school before Bill Maher went over to HBO.

I have nothing to contribute to the silliness but for real I think religion has the potential to do great good. Faith relieves stress right? I learned so many great values from church as a kid. Unfortunately I learned a couple bad ones too.

Spirituality will never go away as long as there is uncertainty in the world. Even if you could say that the world would be better without religion, that will never happen. There will always be people who are religious and there will always be other people who seek something outside of this difficult world in tough times.

I grew up under the yoke of religious parents. They taught me nothing of use in life rather they attempted to indoctrinate me into their cult from a young age. Due to personal experience I have a rather dim view of religion, and sadly at times I have a dim view of people because of their religious beliefs.

Politically I am a social democrat, but then again that might be due to the country I grew up in.
Give me a world and I will give you the stick.
