A complete mess hence the reason I am not sleeping in there. I have stuff everywhere, on the bed check, on the floor check, on the roof check, nailed to the walls check. Sometimes I wonder where all this crap came from.
Give me a world and I will give you the stick.

I have an awesome, king size memory foam bed. And a computer w/desk and chair. And two broken chests of drawers that I really need to replace, but good furniture is expensive. There's a couple shops around that sell solid wood, handmade by the Amish furniture. So I'm saving for dressers because they're like $2,000 each. But, you know, practically indestructible.
Come, Maurice. What's a simple bite on the buttocks among friends? Here -- give me a nibble!

I have a lot of drawings and photos on my walls. There's a couch I don't really use except to put my laundry on. I have a loft with a desk and keyboard underneath.
It's really messy and I need to sweep but will I? Probably not.

It's so bad right now. I've been there over a year and some cardboard boxes have never left the room, though the contents have rotated (i.e. I think the one that currently holds coats and wintery stuff held summery stuff last winter). Also I have two cardboard boxes serving as laundry baskets and an overturned one that is my second nightstand. Most horizontal surfaces are covered with clutter/clothes, except my bed! Though my bed is just a mattress on the floor. I keep saying I need to deal with the room, but never do because it seems like such an impossible task.

At least I have a lovely tapestry, a cool geometric print, and a print of butterflies with their Finnish names neatly hung on the walls!

In some ways it's orderly. Dressers contain stuff. The bed is at the center of the room against one wall, dividing the room into our sides. We have a large closet similarly divided on my side.

The room shows our flaws. We're neat people when it comes to biohazards and other messes, but we sure do collect clutter. Both our nightstands are piled with books, papers, and water glasses. Dressers and desks are in less dire a state, but could use some sprucing up. Clothes do end up in hampers at least. I don't think this book of Old English poems should be on the floor next to my desk. ;)

A cozy mess. We need a new mattress though.

It's somehow reassuring to see that I'm not the only one here without a bed. We have a mattress pad on the floor. It looks like the room where we put the rest of the boxes and bags we still need to unpack from the move and haven't gotten to yet.

It seems unavoidable to have a little mess here and there. When it seems like the whole place is cluttered it gets embarrassing.

The girlfriend and I are trying to clean things up a bit and hope that if we keep it that way for a while it will be a good thing all around.

I have a fucking hammock in there, it's amazing.

Too late already called it a "Fucking Hammock"! :dance2: :dance2:
Where there's smoke, there's fire. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. So just shut up, and bring some water.
