Pfffft. Dancing is for babies who can't handle huddling around awkwardly outside in the smoker's corner pretending to be cool.

I once had a friend who loved dancing. She dragged me onto the dance floor one night. After ten seconds she let me go sit down again and apologized for making me (try to) dance.

Questionable. I'm definitely an enthusiastic dancer though. Invite me to your wedding and I'll keep the dance floor going all night.

The times I've done dance lessons, I've done pretty well. And my first year of college I joined a Greek dancing troupe, where we were hired to dance at events like weddings. I had about ten traditional dances down. Some partnered dances I can do competently enough that I'm good with a partner who knows what they're doing.

I wouldn't mind doing square dancing, a ceilidh, or more group dancing though. I also miss getting into a big line and doing a Kalamatianos.

And oh, with the right bass I'll also keep that dance floor going for hours. I've been called good, but shameless is probably more apt.

Probably not so great. Certainly not ballroom, but folk. I can lead well but only for specific styles. I can almost always follow in partner folk. The thing about partner dancing, is I think personal match is pretty important. I have met some really great dancers with whom I just don't like to dance. And my time tested favorite partner for Contra was someone I heard a lot of complaints about from others. It has been four sad years since I've danced. I'm probably a terrible dancer.

Oh, definitely no. I'm super uncoordinated and self conscious and have no idea how to follow any sort of music.
Bork is too lazy to bother thinking up a witty signature. :polarbear:

I study ballet, contact improv and contemporary... some days I rock and some days I totally suck.

If we're talking free dancing at a club or dance hall, I'm pretty good :)

I am a pretty competent swing dancer! I have been doing it less lately than i would like though. I should go more often.

I used to be pretty good at swing and ballroom, but alas I haven't danced in a long long time. I imagine I'd have to practice to be good again.

Ballet is cool.

According with my parameters, I'm a great dancer. According with society's parameters, I'm terrible.

I'm crap at anything formal, but I do freestyle dance pretty well when inspired in a live music setting. I can also dance with props (hula hoops, poi, once a tablecloth at a wedding, scarf, etc.) pretty darn well.
