Popcorn time

Post by rowan » Fri Jun 2, 21:00 2017

What's the opposite of a quicktake? Need a word for something small that makes you smile.... anyway thought I'd start a thread for the opposite of our ranting one.

I have a friend who sometimes just trolls the trolls. *popcorn time* So fun to watch.

I think we should make one up. Like poptake, a portmanteau of popcorn and take.

Also, a well made animated movie makes me smile.

For a week, I drew out a conversation about whether I would play a game I really like if it had a female protagonist instead of its present male one. (I said I would.) The other person replied to every other person in the thread saying they wouldn't play such a game because heterosexual men can't handle male romance options when they're playing a woman. He called me illogical but could only insult when I began specifying logical faults in his replies.

He soon left everyone else alone, so win.

Oh, this is not a thread about our favorite kinds of popcorn... (white cheddar, although chocolate covered is a close contender)

The satisfaction of a freshly painted room (that you just painted) in a colour that turned out exactly as you hoped.

My new bedroom is going to be so lovely!

Oo that reminds me I saw two big geese and a BILLION little geese between them yesterday! Seriously I think there were about 20 baby geese. Do geese do babysitting for other geese? I know some birds do.

I was once told sometimes geese can't keep track of which babies are theirs so a couple will just horde all the goslings. I don't know if that's true or not though.

Not the part where I actually do the hanging of the curtains, but it makes me smile to have curtains in my house, that I chose and that I like.

Also, I just got done with a job that was not working well for me and I'm excited to move on to something that's a better fit for me.
If I bang my head against a brick wall five times and get five lumps, why am I surprised when I bang it a sixth time and get a sixth lump?

Yay better fits!

I finally got to lay the expansion to Betrayal at House on the Hill last night. I got to play an 8 year old girl who fended off the evil sorcerer with a spear. 10/10, would play again.

I borrowed this child from a friend and we made these together. She is so ridiculously proud of them!
