I waited tables at 'The Mill' in Kingham for a couple of months in the summer of 1990.

No. I couldn't deal with the asshole customers.

That said, I try to be as empathetic as possible with my servers because I know they can only do so much (crowded room means not as fast service, if something is wrong I"ll politely ask them to correct it, etc.). I've seen "Waiting".

Yes, a lot in my 20s and on and off in my 30s now. I'm trying to work occasionally in them and only in nice restaurants now. I was just working at Buffalo Wild Wings and it was 100000x more difficult and stressful. My coworkers were fun though. Party Down is a great series set in the catering business and sadly I actually relate to it A LOT.
