I try to be pretty good about the regular things but gah my list is so long and I'm behind. For non regular things it depends... I'm good at getting weird things that seem to be going on a lot checked out but also super bad if it's just "I'm sick and feel like crap" until it's been like a month and I'm still coughing. :/

^ This. Pneumonia cost me over $200 out of pocket, and we're on track to spend over $5K on medical costs after insurance.

So I go if I feel horrible and don't improve in a week. Or for checkups. But the money is a factor.

No kidding. We just postponed hernia surgery for my 1yo (don't worry, all Drs have declared the hernia surgery to cosmetic and not required at this stage).. Anyway, we just postponed hernia surgery because if my husband and I switch around our insurance options come free enrollment time, we'll end up saving about $2.5k in medical bills between the hernia surgery and a knee surgery he's been needing for years and has just been waiting for the right time. That is, unless one of my kids lands me in the ER this year, in which case everyone is getting upgrades/body mods this year, courtesy of an ER run. With my luck, it'll happen Dec. 30 and I'll get screwed over again on deductible.

I'm fairly good at the regular checkups but I have to be extremely sick to go otherwise. Not because of money (Canada) but mostly because of the inconvenience combined with not wanting to be a bother.

Mind you my dentist died a few years back and I still haven't replaced him. So maybe I'm not that great at my regular checkups either.

Finding new doctors is really sucky and hard! Truth.
I am reminded I need to email my doctor. Bleh.

I go to my dentist for regular checkups and go to my doctor when I am ill. Also because in germany you need to get a real doctors note when you're ill.
Ugh, I'm tired of my signature.

I go to see the doctor if I've been feeling off for a while. I also go for check-ups when asked to.

When something is very obviously wrong, like when I've broken a bone.
Bork is too lazy to bother thinking up a witty signature. :polarbear:

I just realized in my lack of awareness (being that it's morning) that "when I'm dead" was a trick answer. dammit! :kill: :kill: :kill:
