Yes, I've eaten lobster all my life. When I was a little kid, I only got the little claws and occasionally one of the big claws. For years I thought the best thing about lobster was sucking the meat out of the little claws and biting them to make the pincer on the end wiggle. Then one day, as an adult, someone convinced me to try a bite of the tail and I was like, good god, how did I not know about this? I can only eat about five bites before I'm completely stuffed, so I've learned to start with the tail...and give all my claws to the nearest child.

Nope. Not kosher.
Ugh, I'm tired of my signature.

I don't think so; the closest I've come to eating lobster is eating crayfish in Namibia :)

I've had lobster mac and cheese. Does that count?

I don't know if I'd ever order lobster on its own. I have absolutely no idea how to take it out of the shell and eat it, so I think I'd just end up staring at it awkwardly.
Bork is too lazy to bother thinking up a witty signature. :polarbear:

Nope, my sister was allergic and then I became a vegetarian. I hear it tastes like butter?

*mental note to take Bork out for lobster one of these years*

A *good* lobster tastes like more than butter. But sometimes you get one without much flavor and then yeah it mostly tastes like the butter you dip it in.

First I was picky, and I didn't want lobster. Then I learned to love shrimp, realized I still hate crab, and I never went back.

I've never had lobster. Is it like gigantic crawfish?

It looks like one but it doesn't taste like one, in my opinion. But it's been a long time since I've had crawfish.

I think lobster is closer to shrimp than crab in consistency, and different from both in flavor. I don't know that I've ever had crawfish and been aware of it (I hear sometimes they pass it as lobster.) I think because crawfish is cheaper, people are more willing to mask/blend the flavor and use it in recipes with tons of other flavorings and ingredients. It's less common for people to mess with a fresh lobster beyond boiling or grilling it. Kind of chuck vs filet, even if chuck is really yummy. When awesome and fresh, lobster meat is springy and almost sweet. It's magically delicious.
