Yes and I even re-organized my stash a couple weeks ...uh...months... ago. But where is the time to do the sewing?

I can sew well enough to make a costume or alter something. I did some sewing by hand in Boy Scouts, enough to learn repair work and leather stitching. I also sewed together the leather sides of a Roman scutum I made in college. I've never tried making clothes from scratch though.

Do you know what I have a hard time with? Effing zippers. I need someone to show me how to do them properly. >.<

zippers are THE WORST. I admire you even trying!

Yes, but only a very basic stitch.

Absolutely. It was my favorite job. I even got into one of those weird "do you know enough to be in this club" with a friend who used to work as tailor whom I was asking for advice. I passed the mark for having made a welt pocket before, while admitting it's shortcomings.

And zippers! Even the professionals that I worked under, though maybe for the benefit of us underlings, would sort of take a breath before putting in a zipper going over the instructions carefully.

I was going to say yes but compared to all you guys I'm not great. I know a little bit and have enough other crafting skills to fudge it fairly well. I did sew a stuffed bunny for my nephew which I think is still one of his favourite toys so that's a win.

I have no sewing skills other than absolutely ugly stitching a child could do. I should probably try to learn some basics. I did teach myself how to knit as a teenager. I quit after a handful of projects and haven't done it in years though.

Well enough to repair a minor tear or put a badge on something but not well enough to make anything.

I can operate an entry-level sewing machine. I can-ish follow a pattern from the Easy rack. I winged a crib sheet set. I've never attempted anything more complicated than a toddler's baggy gopher Halloween costume, though that had a hoodie AND a zipper.

Not in the slightest. Maybe if my life depended on it, but it'd be a strong maybe.

Barely. Like, I can put a button back on and fix a busted seam, repair a hole in a pocket, etc. But it's not usually pretty. I could sew a straight line with a sewing machine last time I tried, but it's been years and I had supervision. Not sure if I could do anything on my own.
