Picking up my cat's ashes from the vet on Tuesday

Post by Neko » Sat Mar 10, 20:21 2018

Or "cremains."

I was doing pretty well emotionally until I got that call from the vet. It tore open my gut.

I know it will pass. But, fucking fuck me, this hurts.

I've applied to volunteer at local animal shelters instead of impulsively adopting another cat. I hope one of them has an opening.

I just went through kind of the same thing. It's awful, I'm sorry.

You may find that seeing other cats who desperately want a home hurts twice, both wanting to help them and in that they remind you of your cat. Be gentle with yourself, you deserve time to heal.

Sorry to hear that.

Such a tough loss.

My previous cat was named Niko. All black and one of the coolest cats Ive ever had. In his final moments while still in pain. He stopped meowing. He nuzzled my face like he somewhat knew this was it and was calm after that. Went out like a G. My little buddy.

Oh, I'm so sorry. That's such a difficult process.
