Oh man, I want a Dyson SO BADLY. Are they as magical as they seem?

I look for vacuums that are good for carpets and pet hair.

I haven't bought one since I got one from a garage sale forever ago back in grad school #1 so... uh...

I imagine technology has improved or something but basically it should cause a nice pressure differential to get stuff into the tube.

Well, when we bought a house like 10 yrs ago my husband insisted on a Dyson but all we could afford was their low end model. It os hella loud. It is bulky and heavy. We can afford a nicer lighter one now, so I've been looking for *any* decline in performance to claim "this thing doesn't work anymore, we need a new one". But this thing won't die and the suction is pretty powerful. Suction seems as good as when we first got it. It still glides as smoothly. Has never gotten jammed. Cleanup is A BREEZE. I really want a quieter lighter, lower profile one, but I can't bring myself to get rid of something that works perfectly. DIE DYSON DIE. :dieslaughing:

Since he chose the Dyson perhaps you should 'let' him do all the vacuuming? :)

I've been trying my best.
But I like to use it too.

I also have a pet and there was a big problem with dog fur. Then we decided to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Considering from what I’ve read in the reviews it shouldn’t be very noisy and at the same time it's easy to remove and change the bag. Initially, we wanted to buy Dyson but there was too expansive. In fact, there are many more vacuum cleaners. You can compare them here . We bought Dirt Devil Vacuum Cleaner. Maybe you’ll go for some other. There is so many models with good charecteristics.
